Terms of Service

Before you rely on this: this is a plain-English starting draft, not legal advice, and it has not been reviewed by a solicitor. Have your own legal counsel review and adapt it before you trade on it.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms govern your use of Ovnit (“the Service”), operated by Ovnit (“we”, “us”). By creating a workspace you accept them on behalf of the business you represent (“you”, “the brand”).

2. What the Service does

Ovnit hosts product companion pages reached by QR code or link, captures customer registrations you are entitled to collect, and provides reporting and messaging tools built on that data. We are a processor of the customer data you collect; you remain its controller.

3. Your responsibilities

4. Marketplace policies

Amazon and other marketplaces set their own rules and change them without notice. Nothing in the Service constitutes a guarantee that a given use is permitted by a marketplace, and we are not liable for enforcement action taken against your selling account.

5. Fees

Paid plans are billed in advance for the period shown at checkout. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and we do not refund part-periods unless required by law.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not promise uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be notified where practical.

7. Your data

You own the customer data you capture. You may export it at any time.

You can close your workspace yourself, from Settings → Team → Close this workspace. Closing is scheduled rather than instant: we wait 30 days, during which nothing is deleted, the workspace keeps working, and you can cancel the closure from the same page. When that period ends we delete the workspace and everything in it — every customer record, product, campaign and login — and in any event within 90 days of you asking.

Two things survive, and nothing else. A record that the closure happened, holding dates and row counts with your workspace name and email stored only as a one-way hash, because we have to be able to show the deletion was carried out. And the payment reference for invoices already issued, for 6 years, because company accounting records must be kept. Backups made before the deletion roll off on their own schedule shortly afterwards.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. We are not liable for lost profits, lost sales or indirect losses.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email before they take effect.
